Our Story

K-Star Legacy is part of one of the most respected Muay Thai networks in the West Midlands, rooted in a long tradition of Thai boxing excellence in Birmingham. Founded by two-time Muay Thai World Champion Damien Trainor in partnership with his former coach Steve Logan, the gym represents a next chapter in the K-Star family, blending competitive experience with community-focused training. Damien has been involved in Muay Thai for over 20 years and has competed internationally at the highest level, and now brings that expertise to students of all ages and abilities

As part of the wider K-Star Thai Boxing family - which has been teaching Muay Thai in Birmingham for more than three decades and includes several other academies across the city - members at K-Star Legacy have access to training across all locations.
The gym offers structured classes from beginner to advanced levels, including fighters’ preparation, and emphasises technical skill, discipline, and personal growth in a welcoming environment.
